NW Washington, D.C.

In 2014, we were engaged to design and bid a roof replacement project at this 5-story commercial building. The original roof was installed in 1988, and it underwent a major repair project in 2001, with subsequent minor repairs made periodically over the next nine years. In 2010, the roof underwent another series of repairs to loose seams, holes in the membrane, and previously repaired areas that had once again become susceptible to water infiltration. By 2013, the condition of the main roof membrane had deteriorated to the point that water infiltration occurred during most rain events.

The new roofs installed at this property were fully-adhered, 50-mil, Fibertite XT PVC/KEE systems. Repairs to the masonry screen wall were included in the scope of work, and overflow scuppers were also installed. Work commenced in the fall of 2014 and was completed in the spring of 2015. We provided construction phase quality assurance during construction.
