The parking garage at 2300 N Street is a three-level, below-grade structure consisting of conventionally reinforced, cast-in-place concrete foundation walls, columns, and slabs. Construction Insight performed its initial evaluation of the garage in 2011, and recommended a budget for a comprehensive repair program be established. In 2014, design and bidding phases were completed and a contractor was selected. Construction began in January 2015.
The project consists of partial depth and full depth concrete repairs to the slabs, some overhead and vertical concrete repair, application of a corrosion inhibitor and a traffic coating, and addition of supplemental drains and drainpipe. The garage will also be painted, and new traffic markings and striping installed on each level. The project is scheduled for completion in summer 2015.
